NCIS: Los Angeles Part 14 Why are people suspicious of William Newsome?
NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 20 is the perfect build-up to the show’s final episode to be released next week. In this episode, an agent named William Newsome is suspected of being involved in a military-grade heist. Suspicion worsens after they realize that he is richer than an ordinary government servant.
This episode even ended in a tense situation where our heroes were put in a life-or-death situation.
The episode is titled New Beginnings. It was directed by John Peter Kousakis and written by Kyle Harimoto & R. Scott Gemmill. It aired on May 14, 2023, on CBS. Its official synopsis reads:

Callen’s wedding is approaching, but he’s having trouble figuring out a seating plan for the evening. His fiance didn’t help him and he even wanted to limit his future father-in-law to one plus one.
Suddenly, he received a call from Admiral Kilbride, who asked him to assist the ATF. Apparently, ATF SAC Kerry Adams has lost contact with one of her agents, William Newsome.
William Newsome is searching for some missing military grade weapons that were stolen a few days ago. The missing agent was very close to solving the mystery, but suddenly disappeared into thin air. Apparently he was also in the dark before, but always managed to resurrect after a while. Adams hopes that he will come back to life but she also wants help from NCIS.
William Newsome soon showed up and revealed that he had failed. He thought the thieves had found out who he was, so he went in the dark to protect himself. This puts the team in a dangerous position.
The weapon must be recovered, but the team must also investigate Newsome. As the investigation begins, his wealth begins to look very suspicious, as it gives the impression that he has committed crimes and bribes because he is tired of his government salary. On the other hand, the hunt for the weapon was still active.
William Newsome revealed all the details of the weapon to the team, and Kensi and Deeks went to inspect the site. They were still unsure if they could trust Newsome, but it was soon revealed that he was clean. His daughter’s college fund is funded by her grandfather, and his ex-wife leads a quiet life.
It was ATF SAC Kerry Adams that was corrupt. When the NCIS team came to arrest her, they noticed that she was accompanied by another corrupt agent. They fucked up the team and left them defenseless.
The episode ended in a difficult situation and the fate of the team will only be revealed in the final episode of NCIS: Los Angeles next week.
